[By Dr. Andrea Cook] As we look into the future, we have been asking: What is Warner Pacific’s promise? Warner Pacific College is dedicated to seeing individuals, families, and communities flourish.
Much could be said about the transformation that occurs in the lives of our students at Warner Pacific College. Long before I became President, the institution had been committed to providing a Christ-centered, liberal arts education that challenged students to see the interrelatedness of all things.
In the last four years, Warner Pacific has completely altered our institutional trajectory. Whether it is our financial aid philosophy, our first-year learning communities, or how we think about student support on campus; we are rethinking how the entire Warner Pacific model works so both the students we serve and the institution we love will flourish in the days to come.
This shift is evidenced by the fact that this fall, 55% of the students in our incoming freshman class are students of color, and perhaps for the first time in the history of Warner Pacific, our campus community truly reflects the ethnic diversity of the world in which we live.
At Warner Pacific, students from diverse backgrounds will find a welcoming and inclusive space to dream, serve, achieve, and flourish.
In the days and years to come, you will be seeing our new tagline, “Flourish,” pop-up on billboards and marketing materials. This is our commitment. This is our promise. We will work each day so our students and our city will flourish.
