What an exciting time for Campus Ministries and Warner Pacific University!  There is a lively spirit on our campus that is awesome to experience.

Our students have expressed an interest to further understand their spiritual journey and how it undergirds their purpose. Many have accepted Jesus as their savior and have expressed how much they have needed something like this to assist them in their journey.

We also experienced new relationships within the Portland region through our partnership with WPU Assistant Chaplain Ja’Shawn Young. On Saturday, September 7 we hosted The Unity Service in McGuire Auditorium. Pastor Amanda Colfax of Revival Church in Salem Oregon was our guest speaker.  Our reputational value is rising in our community as we acknowledge and walk out our foundation of Christ Centeredness.

We are also excited as we strengthen our relationship with the Church Of God which is blossoming into something special. They have been very active recently with their presence on campus, conversations and support. I recently visited Tigard Church Of God to fellowship with them and we plan to assist them with their mentorship program this year.

I also visited with Apostle Victor Alvarizares of Father’s House International. He celebrated their 25th year church anniversary. He is also a WPU Board Of Trustee Member. It was an honor to be there with him and it was a pleasure for our students (Ja’Shawn Young and Richie Bailey) from the chapel team to accompany me. It has been a very busy and exciting start to the academic year. I believe the best is yet to come!
