The College congratulates alum Brian Sjothun ’96 who was recently named as Medford’s new City Manager by a vote of the Medford City Council. The City Manager’s Office provides support to the Mayor and City Council and includes the City Recorder, Emergency Management, and Facilities Management divisions.
[From a KOBI5 news report] Sjothun served with the City of Medford since March 2004. He served as the Recreation Superintendent for five months prior to becoming the Parks and Recreation Director in August 2004. Prior to coming to the City of Medford, Brian spent 16 years with the Woodburn Recreation & Parks Department. Sjothun received his Bachelor’s degree from Warner Pacific College and completed his Master’s degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University.
